It was decided on Friday to postpone the implementation of the Human Resources module. Although a new go-live date has not been determined as of today, a date will be determined shortly. Based on the lessons learned in the general financial implementation, it was determined that the module would not risk going live without thoroughly cleansing, testing and verifying the HR and payroll data in the module. As was stated at the beginning of this module, July 2nd represented an aggressive implementation date and the Division of Personnel would only go-live if they were comfortable with the data and processes associated with the module. It was determined on Friday that the data still needed additional cleansing and verification prior to go-live. The current training scheduled for later in July for Division of Personnel staff and in August for all HR staff is still on-track. Kenny Belle worked tirelessly on implementing this module. I commend for his focus and dedication. His commitment to a July 2nd implementation date did not cloud his judgment or assessment of the data in this system though; for this he should also be commended. |
