Hermon, Jr., PHR Director, Division of Personnel DATE: July 28, 2007 RE: Training for Human Resources Module for the Enterprise Resource Planning System The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team will conduct training on the Human Resources module for all agency Human Resources personnel from August 6th through August 21st for St. Thomas staff and from August 13th through 21st for St. Croix staff. Training on St. Thomas will occur at the Division of Personnel training room located in the Government Employees Retirement System (GERS) building and on St. Croix in the Division of Personnel training room in the Orange Grove Shopping Center. All Human Resource staff will be required to attend two consecutive half-day training sessions. Training sessions will occur on Monday and Tuesday or Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will be an open training session where staff that has completed their two day training sessions can come to the training rooms for additional help or clarification. Sessions will run from 8am to 12pm or from 1pm to 5 pm daily. Training sessions will cover how to enter, approve, modify, research, and track personnel actions using the ERP system. This process will replace and streamline the current Notice of Personnel Action (NOPA) process. To facilitate the training process, we request that each agency's Human Resource staff attend the same training sessions. Attached is the schedule detailing the time and place for each participant's scheduled training. Agency heads and other personnel not involved in data entry of the Personnel Actions will be scheduled at a later date. Should you have any questions on this process, or have an emergency that does not allow you to appear for training on your scheduled dates please contact Ellard-James Hurley at 774-4750, extension 2243. Thank you for your attention to this matter. |
