Is Medical Tourism Safe?
by prakasharige 11 Months ago
Although medical tourism is a quickly growing industry, there are many risks that one should consider before going abroad. Are the doctors safe? What legal recourse do you have in the event of a botched surgery? Will insurance cover all of your expenses? To explore these and many other issues, see what Health & Medical Tourism
http://www.healism.com/has to say about the subject.

I know lot of people going abroad for medical treatment. Earlier, even I too got lot of doubts on "Medical Tourism". But after reading Medical Tourism Testimonialsand Press Releases I got convinced that it is safe. Apart from that, some my close relatives and friends got surgery done at abroad. And, there were no complaints. They did enjoyed their trip.

As to trusting the quality of care at hospitals outside the U.S., our patients at WorldMed Assist, a Medical Tourism company find that the pre-op tests are WAY more extensive than they'd find in the U.S.; they stay in the hospital until recovery is absolutely ensured; and the medical team gives them far more attention than they'd get at home. Reputable medical travel facilitators partner only with top rated hospitals, usually with JCI accreditation and a roster of world renowned physicians.

One recent patient, Jerry Mead of Illinois, had a bilateral hip replacement in India for which his hospital stay for both surgeries and physical therapy was 24 days. Imagine a U.S. hospital keeping a patient for 24 days for orthopedic surgery!
