{"id":1235,"date":"2021-05-05T20:49:39","date_gmt":"2021-05-05T20:49:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vi.gov\/covid\/?p=1235"},"modified":"2021-05-26T19:49:56","modified_gmt":"2021-05-26T19:49:56","slug":"governor-bryan-issues-proclamation-in-honor-of-nurses-in-the-territory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vi.gov\/covid\/news-post\/governor-bryan-issues-proclamation-in-honor-of-nurses-in-the-territory\/","title":{"rendered":"Governor Bryan Issues Proclamation In Honor of Nurses in the Territory"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS \u2014 Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has issued a proclamation celebrating and honoring the important role that nurses play in the U.S. Virgin Islands in commemoration of National Nursing Week, May 6-12 and National Nursing Month, throughout May.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cRegistered nurses in the United States constitute our nation\u2019s largest health care profession, and the commitment, dedication, and hard work of those in the nursing profession has been further elevated and highlighted by our nurses\u2019 efforts on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic,\u201d Governor Bryan said.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The theme for this year\u2019s commemoration of the nursing profession is \u201cYou Make a Difference,\u201d a nod to nurses\u2019 sheer numbers, their unparalleled impact during the pandemic and health care in general. and an open invitation to #ThankaNurse for enriching our lives and the world in which we live.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There are 4 million registered nurses in the United States, according to the American Nurses Association, which first declared May 6-May 12 National Nurses Week in 1993.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cThe American Nurses Association, the voice for registered nurses in the Territory and the country, is working to chart a new course for a healthy nation that relies on increasing access to primary and preventive health care,\u201d Governor Bryan\u2019s proclamation states.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Governor is asking all Virgin islanders to join him in honoring the registered nurses who care for all of us and to celebrate registered nurses\u2019 accomplishments and efforts to improve our health care system and show our appreciation for our registered nurses, not just during this month, but at every opportunity throughout the year.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Bryan-Roach Administration is committed to transparency, stabilizing the economy, restoring trust in the government and ensuring the disaster recovery is completed as quickly as possible.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS \u2014 Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has issued a proclamation celebrating and honoring the important role that nurses play in the U.S. Virgin Islands in commemoration of National Nursing Week, May 6-12 and National Nursing Month, throughout May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":1284,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1235","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-post"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.0 -
