Governor Albert Bryan Jr. Recognizes VI and Women’s History, Nutrition and Social Workers in March
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has proclaimed March 2025 as a month to recognize Virgin Islands history, the advancement of rights and opportunities for women and girls, as well as dedication to healthy food access, and the compassion of social workers and their actions to help individuals, families, and communities reach their full potential.
By declaring March 2025 as “Virgin Islands History Month,” Governor Albert Bryan Jr. is highlighting the history, culture, and achievements of the people of the Virgin Islands to instill a sense of pride, loyalty, love, devotion, and respect for the U.S. Virgin Islands and for all Virgin Islanders at home and abroad.
Additionally, Governor Bryan is recognizing “National Women’s History Month” in March within the U.S. Virgin Islands and is calling upon Virgin Islanders to observe Women’s History Month with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities throughout our community and schools.
Governor Bryan has proclaimed the month of March 2025 as “Social Work Month ” within the U.S. Virgin Islands in recognition of the numerous contributions made by social workers throughout the territory.
March 2025 is also declared ”National Nutrition Month” in the USVI with Governor Bryan encouraging all citizens to join the campaign and become invested in their nutrition and the nutrition of others in the hope of achieving optimum health for today and tomorrow.
Proclaiming National Consumer Protection Week, Governor Bryan has declared Sunday, March 2 through Saturday, March 8, 2025, as “National Consumer Protection Week” in the U.S. Virgin Islands, calling upon public officials, educators, and all Virgin Islanders to share information about consumer protection and provide our citizens with information about their rights as consumers.
Governor Bryan also declared National US Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center Day March 19, National Medical Billers Day March 27 and National War Veterans Day March 29.
