Governor Albert Bryan Jr. Travels to Washington, D.C. for 2025 IGIA Meetings and NGA Winter Meeting

Lieutenant Governor Tregenza Roach to Serve as Acting Governor

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS —  Governor Albert Bryan Jr. is in Washington, D.C. this week to participate in the 2025 Interagency Group on Insular Areas (IGIA) meetings at the U.S. Department of the Interior, as well as the National Governors Association’s (NGA) 2025 Winter Meeting.

The IGIA meetings bring together federal officials and representatives from U.S. territories to discuss critical policy matters affecting the islands, including economic development, infrastructure, and federal partnerships. The NGA Winter Meeting provides an important forum for governors from across the nation to engage with federal leaders and each other on key policy initiatives and priorities.

During Governor Bryan’s absence, Lieutenant Governor Tregenza Roach will serve as Acting Governor until his return to the territory.
