Governor Bryan Addresses Suggestions Raised During Senate Hearing on St. John Land Exchange Agreement

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Governor Albert Bryan Jr. sent a letter to Senate President Novell E. Francis Jr this week addressing questions raised by members of the 35th Legislature during a hearing to approve a land exchange agreement with the National Park Service that will allow the Government of the Virgin Islands to construct a new public school in St. John.

The Governor’s letter addresses six suggestions raised during the July 11th hearing ranging from the Government of the Virgin Islands exchanging submerged land instead of Whistling Cay to a suggestion to have the United States Congress direct the Department of Interior Secretary to give the land at Estate Catherineberg to the Virgin Islands Government.
