Celebrates Virgin Islanders in Georgia as being among the voters who ushered in his historic win
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – Governor Albert Bryan Jr. issued the following statement Wednesday congratulating Senator-elect Reverend Raphael Warnock on his election to the U.S. Senate:
“I am proud today, as the Governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands and only Black Governor in the United States to join the chorus of congratulations to Reverend Raphael Warnock on becoming now the first African American U.S. Senator from the State of Georgia.
“This historic election win is a testament to the strength and unity of the Democratic Party and its connection to the will of the people, and I am proud to know that Virgin Islanders were among the many Georgia voters who made his win possible.
“As Democrats move closer to unified control of Washington, I am looking forward to working with President Biden and a Democratic Congress to bring prosperity to the territory.”
