Mother’s Day Message from Governor Albert Bryan Jr.

I join the Virgin Islands in extending appreciation and gratitude to all mothers and other women throughout the Territory who serve as mother figures.

Our mothers are our first teachers and protectors who comfort us when life sends unexpected challenges. This Mother’s Day and every day, I celebrate the mothers who have anchored my life and often reflect on the times I shared with my mother and still feel her loving grace and protection.

I think of the many Virgin Islanders celebrating the memory of their mothers today and every day and ask that we all keep them in our thoughts, as today for them may be more somber than celebratory.

I encourage all to join me in sharing our gratitude for all mothers and mother figures for everything they have done and continue to do for us. Happy Mother’s Day.
