Governor Albert Bryan Jr. Announces Government Office Closures for Easter Holiday

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has announced that all Virgin Islands Government offices will be closed in observance of the Easter holiday. 

The following days will be observed as official government holidays: 

  • Thursday, April 2, 2026 – Holy Thursday  
  • Friday, April 3, 2026 – Good Friday  
  • Monday, April 6, 2026 – Easter Monday  

Normal government operations will resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. 

Governor Bryan said the observance provides an important opportunity for reflection and renewal across the Territory. 

“Easter is a time of deep spiritual meaning, renewal, and hope for many in our community,” Governor Bryan said. “I encourage all Virgin Islanders to take this time to reflect on the significance of the season and to enjoy meaningful moments with family and loved ones.” 

The Governor also emphasized the importance of community, faith, and unity during the holiday period. 

“As we pause from our daily responsibilities, let us embrace the spirit of compassion, gratitude, and togetherness that defines this season,” he added. 

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly for government service interruptions and to take full advantage of the holiday period to celebrate safely and responsibly.
