U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has nominated former Magistrate Carolyn Hermon-Percell for a seat on the Casino Control Commission for a five-year term as a representative from St. Thomas.
Magistrate Hermon-Percell served on the bench of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands from 2013-2021. She also was in private practice for a number of years before being appointed to the Superior and was a staff member at the Legislature of the Virgin Islands.
Magistrate Hermon-Percell will fill a vacancy on the commission, and former Senator Usie Richards has said he will step down when his term finishes at the end of February 2022.
